Anylab FT3 Reagent
The ARCHITECT Free T3 (FT3) assay is a Chemiluminescent Microparticle Immunoassay (CMIA) for the quantitative determination of free triiodothyronine (Free T3) in human serum and plasma. 3,5,3' Triiodothyronine (T3) is a thyroid hormone with a molecular weight of 651 daltons 1 and a half-life in serum of 1.5 days.

What is a FT3 test?
The test measures the amount of free triiodothyronine, or FT3, in your blood. T3 is one of two major hormones produced by the thyroid gland (the other hormone is called thyroxine, or T4). The thyroid gland is found in the neck, in front of the windpipe.
