The main principle of widal test is that if homologous antibody is present in patients humor, it’ll react with various antigen within the reagent and provides visible clumping on the check card and agglutination within the tube. The antigens utilized in the check are “H” and “O” antigens of Salmonella typhosa and “H” antigen of S. Paratyphi.
